For the workshop in week 5 we were supposed to prepare a multi-camera script that we would later based a five-minute cooking show on. That was the first time we were working with 4 cameras. The 4th camera was a static shot from up above that was supposed to capture the presenter's actions in order to prepare a meal.
During the production meeting we, as always, assigned all the roles. I chose to be a scriptwriter once again because I really enjoyed doing it the previous week. We asked our friend Richard to be our presenter because he is a very charismatic person.
Writing the script turned out to not be as easy as the last time because now I had to include the 'as directed' part and I had never done that before. However, I did some research on the Internet and I looked up an exemple of such script on blackboard.
We had to provide the props and nicely decorate the set. The meal the presenter had to prepare was a peanut butter & banana sandwich.
Because I was a scriptwriter, I did not have my role on the floor or the gallery that week. I actually felt good about that, because having that sort of a break allowed me to observe everyone else's roles. For the first half of the show, I stayed on the floor and watched my friend Kamila operate a camera.
After we finished working on the programme, Przemek asked us to sit in a circle and wanted to talk to us. He asked every single one of us how we felt about the role, what difficulties we had and what we did to improve ourselves. I said that my role was very easy because I was just a scriptwriter, and that I had no trouble at all. Przemek advised me that as a scriptwriter I should've spent more time with our presenter and talk to him before the programme or during the breaks.
